. . . worthy of more than drive-by-shootings.
But, sometimes that's all you get on a busy highway.

Barn Charm 105
No, this isn't a barn with hay, farm equipment, or animals.
This barn is located at The Loveless Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee, U. S. A. and is available for functions such as weddings.
The cafe is just about one quarter mile from the end of the Natchez Trace Parkway.

Croley's Barn Revisited
I am reposting a winter barn for this week's Barn Charm.
Someone else posted some snow scenes and I thought I would copy them and
post my own snow in this 100+ degree weather we're having.

It was posted a while back when I decided to start a blog for barns.
That was before I began linking with Barn Charm, so maybe you haven't seen it.
This was my neighbor's barn taken in February 2010. He became sick in the summer of that year and passed away right before Christmas of that year.
It snowed that Christmas morning also.
Croley, I look over at your barn every time I pull in the driveway.

Barn Charm from my hometown
Another barn in my hometown.
These photos were taken on two different days.
One sunny, the other cloudy.

Barn Charm #90, thanks to Dep
Another relative's barn.
We were there another day and I took more pictures.
This one complete with Cardinal.
There are a lot of barns in my home town.
You just have to look.

Barn Charm 89, thanks to Kerry
Sharing with:
A friend of mine took me to her father's homeplace for a Barn Charm entry.
The barn was built by her Grandfather and his father so it might be 100 years old.
We didn't go all the way to the loft even though it looked sturdy enough.
Equipped with all the great rusty things an old barn must have.
The place is still owned by her family and a family member lives there currently.
It's a pretty place.
I'll share more later.
Maybe Kerry will share some of her shots at

Bear Charm ?
I've been going through vacation photos and thought I would share this "barn".
This is the Boyds Bear store in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee which is just on the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains.
Unfortunately, the store was not open very long. I know there was at least one other store in Pennsylvania, but I do not know if it is still in business.
We've been back to The Smokies a few times since these photos were taken, but I don't know what the building is used for now.
Notice the date stamp. These were made with the first digital camera I bought.
I think I used it 3 or 4 years before I upgraded. And when I did upgrade, I realized what an awful camera it was. The lag between my hitting the shutter button and when the scene was completely recorded was tremendous. And, it ate batteries. I still have the camera card I used. 128 MB. Yes, MB. It would hold only 7 or 8 of my RAW+jpeg now.
So much has changed with technology in just ten years. And I love it!
Anyway . . .
If you've never been to the Great Smoky Mountains, consider putting it on your vacation list.

Barn Charm 86
This barn is in my hometown and is the subject on one of the town's postcards sold in local shops. It is not situated where you safely can get a shot from the road. The owners are distantly related on my mother's side so we stopped one day and asked permission.
It's a beautiful place.

Charming barn and maybe its house
Somewhere in Jackson County, Alabama or extreme southern Tennessee.
This house is across the road.
I wonder if they go together?
