A friend of mine took me to her father's homeplace for a Barn Charm entry.
The barn was built by her Grandfather and his father so it might be 100 years old.
We didn't go all the way to the loft even though it looked sturdy enough.
Equipped with all the great rusty things an old barn must have.
The place is still owned by her family and a family member lives there currently.
It's a pretty place.
I'll share more later.
Maybe Kerry will share some of her shots at

i love the way the board siding is placed on the end walls!
Wonderful shots, Amy! The third one with the sun peeking through is beautiful! Love the old barns.
A great old barn Amy! I love the way the boards are place on the ends too. I really like the shot from inside looking out.
I very much like the pattern the boards make. They've aged nicely.
Great shots. Pretty sure there are a lot of memories in this place. Thanks for sharing.

It sits in a lovely setting and I like all the details you've captured.
With that much history and in the family I would really want to restore it.
Great shots Amy!
I sure did enjoy this visit...love all the photos.
What an unusual barn! I love the angle of the boards. The shot from the inside looking out is wonderful!
Bet that was fun...going thru that barn...so cool!!!

love the clouds. what a view. (:
Nice photos, Amy! I enjoyed our "barn tour" so much. I'm not sure I saw that rusty thing that you captured, LOL! I hope to add my pictures soon.
They were certainly creative in placing the boards in that design.
What do you mean, pretty? It's a beautiful place... love the barn & so neat that you was able to explore it! Love the inside shot looking out... I do that every time I'm inside an old barn, esp to see the blue sky thru the old barn wood! Very cool of your friend to let you shoot this old family place, thank her for us & thank you for joining Barn Charm =)
You have so many different ones.
Amazing how people just walked out and left all those rusty machinery behind.
Like the world has come to a end.
Everything is still.
Sad when you really think of it.
Worked so hard all those years the people and then to either die or be in a nursing home to most likely be forgotten. how hard they really worked. By the sweat of their brow.
Time is short. Isn't it.
My parents are gone and my sister and her hubby who farmed.
So my brother and I.
Are pretty near the ones left.
Oh enough of me. Rambling on. It
was those barns that started it.
Tee,heee
Love you pictures.
