Dreary but still charming

It was a dreary day on Hwy 11 in Giles County Tennessee, but my friend and I took a few hundred photos anyway.

This farm is directly across the road from the Oxford Cemetery from this post on my main blog.

You can see the long white cemetery sign just above the hay bales.  Have I ever gotten a photo of the cemetery sign?  Of course not.  I always miss some of the best shots.  And it's a sign with character, too.

Nice barn, and your photography in each shot is outstanding! That picture of the road should be framed.

All great shots.

It's sad that the barn is in such disrepair seeing that it seems to be on a working farm.
LOVE the road photo - my kind of rural lovliness!

No one or thing needs to worry about AC in this old barn. Nice openings for the air to blow through. It looks like they have a nice herd of cattle, but if they do not start making some repairs on that barn those cattle are gonna have to stay out in the rain, cold, and heat. Great selection for your post this week. Thanks for your visit to my blog. genie

The barn is a nice one but I really like the photo with the winding road.

Great shots - love the one with the cow. And the country road pic is pretty - I love photos with lanes or roads or driveways.... makes you wonder what's just around the bend...

I like the softness the overcast sky gives these photos. The first photo with the barn and the bull is great. I really like the winding road, too.

Great photos even with the dreary skies! The green pops out and the gray shades of the barn brighten up the skies! Great composition too. Thanks for checking mine out.
